Many people feel intensely driven to press on when their minds and bodies are calling out for a break in activity because they feel guilty focusing their attention inward, even if only for a few hours. The more willing we are to heed the emotional, intellectual, and physical signals telling us to see to our inner world needs, the better equipped we are to live balanced lives. We are then free to pass the time reconnecting with our values and rejuvenating our souls.
You are so right! I have been thinking about this a lot lately. Sometimes I feel like there is just too much happening in my inner world. I have so many thoughts coming from everywhere & at times, it is hard to organize them. At times, I feel alone & don't know where or how to reach out. I need to reconnect with ME.
Wow this is deep. But let’s break it down if I'm reading and understanding this right you are speaking on going for yours in this world and not feeling guilty for being successful. I have had this issue because so many of the people in my life feel like I’m selfish for not helping them every time they stumble on their on shoe laces. I’m like damn tie your shoes and get your act together. They think I'm shady for focusing on my future and not helping them with their present. Well I can't let the guilt of not helping someone when I could confuse me enough to not realize that each time I do I’m hurting myself and my future. Stay strong and be that example not that go to person who is enabling them to continue to be unmotivated individuals. Word!!!
Thanks for the comment. I understand that helping others can be actually hurting them. I can't continue making people handicap to society. Each and every one of us has to learn how to brace our own falls. I did......
